HEAD OF JUNIOR SCHOOL
(Preparatory to Year 2 – approximately 750 students)

The Head of Junior School will have a strong understanding of the needs of students in the early years of education and a demonstrated capacity to lead a Junior School team to achieve excellence in the delivery of the IB PYP, referencing the Australian National Curriculum.

Primary School Teacher (Year 3 - Year 5). Full Time and Part Time positions available.
Applications are sought for 2 positions within the Primary School at AIS; one full-time and one part-time (0.4). Ideally, these positions will commence immediately in Term 3 (mid-July).

AIS is seeking experienced, dynamic and committed staff members to join its teaching team in 2014. AIS is a co-educational international school for students from Preschool (age 3) to Pre University – HSC/DP (age 18+). The anticipated enrolment for 2014 is 2650 students: 1590 in Elementary (Preschool to Year 5 – ages 3 to 10) and 1060 in Secondary (Years 6 to 12 – ages 11 to 18). There are around 50 nationalities represented at the School with a teaching staff of around 250 teachers. AIS offers the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme, the IGCSE and IB Diploma Programme alongside the NSW Higher School Certificate.

Minimum Qualification Requirements: A recognised 4 year educational qualification with at least two years relevant teaching experience. Experience in teaching the International Baccalaureate programmes or IGCSE will be an advantage as well as a willingness to participate in the wider life of the School.
