The Australian Mathematics Challenge is a prestigious competition that Extension Mathematics students in Years 7 and 8 take part in. They attempt the Junior Challenge which involves solving six problems in three weeks. These problems require the students to use various strategies and present their solutions in a clear and logical format.
This year 30 students from Year 7 and 8 were entered in the competition and our school results were exceptional with 20 students receiving high distinctions, 3 receiving distinctions and 7 receiving credits. This ranks us in the top echelon of all participating schools in Australia.
