Last Friday students from the AISS Junior and Primary schools completed a walkathon around the Singapore Zoo. The purpose of the walkathon was to raise money to continue the School’s sponsorship of Banjo the orang-utan. The School has been a proud supporter of the Singapore Zoo’s orang-utan program for ten years.
The walkathon was a great opportunity for students to make connections between their fundraising efforts and the zoo's work with orang-utans. Students were also lucky enough to get up close and personal with some orang-utans when zoo members gave an educational presentation about the zoo’s wildlife programs. It was great to see so many enthusiastic and engaged students walking around the zoo.
