Students from Year 7 entered a national Science competition hosted by the ABC Network in Australia recently. Two groups of students were Runners-up with their innovative videos. Abbi Stanley, Ebony Matotek & Anna Klein were National Runners-Up with their presentation on buoyancy while Ricky Van Onselen, Patrick McGovern & Andrew Robinson placed as the Runners-Up in the State with their video on electromagnetism. The students combined skills they have learned in Design & Technology and the Science knowledge from the Forces unit of work they were studying
There were many resourcing, technical and equipment difficulties that hindered the progress & development of the videos that it almost got trashed! The kids were amazingly resilient in the face of setbacks in their progress.
