Congratulations to AIS student Amanda Sim, who has just learnt that she achieved the first place in the NSW HSC Chinese Extension Course.

This is the second year in a row an AIS student has achieved first place in the NSW HSC Chinese Extension course. 

The rest of the 2011 HSC result will come through over the next couple of days so we’ll keep you informed of the rest of the cohort’s results. 

In the meantime, well done Amanda!

This week AIS has to say goodbye to its current Principal, Peter Bond, following 10 years in the role. 

As part of a number of events and assemblies planned this week by various parts of the School to say goodbye to Peter, the whole school turned out early this morning to share a high-five with AIS’ second and longest serving Principal.

Peter walked through a tunnel of students to a large round of applause, ending up on the School oval for an historic group shot with the whole 2011 cohort and staff.

Early on Monday morning, the 2011 Cambodia House Building Team set off for the trip of a lifetime.

Having fundraised for the past year, the team of Year 10 students and staff set off with the aim of building 31 houses with the Tabitha Foundation for the needy in rural Cambodia.
