Beth Posney and Jessica Orchard are the proud recipients of the inaugural AIS Global Citizen Scholarships. 

Through their demonstration of a solid understanding of the concept of global citizenship and inquiry learning, both girls will receive a 50 percent reduction in tuition fees during the course of their IB Diploma Programme studies at AIS, which they will begin in January 2012.

Giving a 10-minute conference presentation on the theme of leadership to over 500 school principals from IB schools around the world is a daunting prospect for any teacher or school leader. Imagine how much more of a challenge that task would be if you were 15-years old.

But that’s exactly the challenge AIS Year 10 student Jefferson Spratt rose to this morning as he spoke at the IB Heads World Conference.

This week saw the culmination of months of hard work from our Year 10 students with the showcase of their Middle Years Programme (MYP) Personal Projects.  Each was a unique exploration into an area that interested them, with some really exciting, colourful and diverse results. 

The grades for this year’s Projects have just been released, with 64% of the cohort achieving a grade between 5 and 7.
