The role of the Class Contact is primarily to welcome new families to a class or Year level; create a Class List for their child’s class; and organise some social events for the parents and families throughout the year. It is also a way in which connectedness and support for the school and its teaching staff is given.

The Class Contact may also collect a donation from families in their class to cover such things as an end-of-year thankyou gift for the teacher.

They may also be asked to forward emails on behalf of the Parents’ Association.

In Preschool, Junior School and even Primary School there are often 2 volunteers per class, but by Senior School there is only 1 volunteer per year level.
