"At AIS we are committed to teaching our students to make our world a better place as reflective, caring, knowledgeable and principled people." - Andre Casson
Our school philosophy commits us fully to the notion of a holistic, rounded education, which cherishes the arts and sports as well as academics as essential dimensions of each student’s education. We are equally committed to the notion of our students becoming adults, who have a moral commitment to making our world a better place as reflective, caring, knowledgeable and principled people.
Each child is special, each is important. We remain non-selective in our admissions policy, confident that it is not intellectual ability alone that determines an individual’s worth or contribution to the betterment of our world.
AIS is the only southern-hemisphere school in Singapore that offers an Australian curriculum-based global education for students from the age of two to 18 years. This truly international education begins with the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Program (IB PYP) from Preschool to Year 5, a school-specific Australian curriculum framework for Years 6 to 8, Cambridge IGCSE in Years 9 and 10, and the Higher School Certificate (HSC) or International Baccalaureate Diploma Program (IB DP) for Years 11 and 12.
The Australian Curriculum (AC) underpins our entire curriculum from Preschool through to Year 8. By benchmarking to the AC content and standards, we can ease the transition between Singapore and the home country of the majority of our students, and also enable parents to understand more clearly how their children are performing relative to the national cohort.
We welcome you to the AIS community – one which is globally focused, distinctly Australian.
