As a group the AISS Parents’ Association strives to fulfil six objectives – to develop community spirit at AISS, to assist students by providing resources, to provide a feedback mechanism between parents and the School, to support families in times of hardship, to be a link between the business communities and the School and to assist new families to settle in AISS.

 To achieve these aims we have a newly elected full committee of 16 parents who come from many varying backgrounds and bring with them a multitude of talents and loads of enthusiasm. Support from our members – students’ parents – is vital to our success and continuation.

 In 2008 our school will undergo many changes as a new sub-school structure is introduced and a new campus for the Pre-School and Junior Schools is opened. The AISS Parents’ Association too is undergoing some changes with the introduction of an Association logo, an update of our webpage, revamping of our Parents’ Lounge and introduction of a bi-annual Association newsletter. And much, much more!

 In keeping with our objective of developing a community spirit and connectedness amongst the students, faculty and parents of the School – the AISS family – we have in Term 1 already assisted the School in staging a very successful AUSTRALIA DAY FAIR and just recently our biggest family event for the year, our annual FISH & CHIPS NIGHT. Our first NEWCOMER’S MORNING TEA held in February with about 60 in attendance gave us a good opportunity to welcome our new families to the School. In coming terms we will hold many other events amongst them BREAKFAST WITH DAD, WINE & NIBBLES, TRIVIA & DISCO NIGHT and our hugely popular DINNER DANCE.. In the coming months we will also be determining how best to assist students in providing additional resources and assistance.

MEMBERSHIP FEES

All AISSPA fees are collected within the school fee structure. Every family member is an AISSPA member and all members are very welcome to attend any of the AISSPA General Meetings.
