AISS Curriculum Overview

The curriculum at the Australian International School Singapore encompasses all activities which involve teaching and learning. Education in its truest sense engages every facet of a student's life so the curriculum includes formal classroom activities as well as cocurricular activities.

The Australian International School Singapore is a candidate school in the International Baccalaureate Organisation's Primary Years Programme (PYP) and Middle Years Programme which is supported by the New South Wales (Australian) curriculum.

The curriculum is divided into a number of Key Learning Areas which ensure that a holistic and balanced program of study is followed by all students. The curriculum follows a developmental continuum beginning with a play centred approach to learning in the Preschool, leading into a strong emphasis on literacy, numeracy and inquiry units in the Primary years and becoming quite specialised in the senior years of study at Years 11 and 12.

The staff is experienced in assisting students who enter from other
systems during a school term or year.
