MUSIC - Mr Simon Hughes

ANZA Ball 2014

Some of students performed at the 50th annual ANZA Ball on Saturday evening. Our Secondary Chamber Ensemble directed by Mr Huan, our Head of Strings, combined forces with Ishanaz Bahar and Rino Darusman to perform Adele’s song Make you Feel My Love. They performed on the main stage during the formal part of proceedings in front of a huge crowd of ANZA members and VIPs. I was very proud of their efforts and the ensemble received a huge round of applause and some fabulous feedback. It is a privilege to work with such talented students and staff.

Prior to this performance the Chamber Ensemble performed incidental music for the guests as they arrived in the foyer of the Marina Mandarin Hotel. The students were supported by our Cello Tutor Patricia Krug and Mr Huan. Students in the ensemble are:

Melody Chiang (Year 10)
Jasper Lee (Year 6)
Marina Litchfield (Year 10)
Emily Wong (Year 7)
Amelia Woodward (Year 9)
