We are delighted to announce the opening of an additional Preschool 4 year old class. As demand for places is significant we will be opening the Kookaburra class for Term 3 2014.
The Preschool is uniquely resourced to support our students' full potential through a specialist mathematics co-ordinator, daily Mandarin and the stand-alone Inquiry Centre and Library.
The program of professional partnerships at AIS continued recently with a visit from Australian music educator and creative thinker, Richard Gill working with our specialist Music Department, and a number of Year 2, Year 5, Year 7 and Year 9 classes.
Richard’s vision is that music education is imperative for all children, as it teaches the value of creativity. His assessment of music education at AIS was incredibly positive, and a vast improvement on most schools he has visited in Australia, which is pleasing to hear.Read the whole article >
On Thursday we were delighted to host His Serene Highness, Prince Alfred of Liechtenstein on a visit around the Elementary School, where he took in a performance by the Upper Elementary School Chamber Choir, a Year 2 lesson in the Inquiry Centre and a Year 3 Mandarin lesson.Read the whole article >
AIS offers a variety of different CCA options that caters for the myriad of skills and interests that are within our community. One of more recent CCA additions has been the development of AIS TV. This activity is for budding filmmakers and broadcasters.
