AIS has partnered with Sun Electric, the first solar energy company to obtain an electricity retail license in Singapore, to generate solar electricity for consumers in Singapore.
Sun Electric's SolarSpace platform enables consumers to purchase blends of clean energy – through four tailored packages - even if they do not have their own roof to install solar panels. AIS has become a pioneer in this program, enabling the school roof to be installed with solar panels capable of producing a megawatt of electricity that will be supplied to the City wide grid for smaller consumers of energy to purchase.Read the whole article >

The annual Waitangi Day celebrations, held at the Australian International School, were opened by the school’s Kappa Haka group in a traditional Mihi Whakatau. As Season 2 of competitive sports cumulates, several AIS Division 1 teams are celebrating. The 14U Girls Netball team completed an undefeated season sweep of the competition by downing UWC East by 10 goals in the final. On the same night, the 12U Boys Basketball team also completed an undefeated season taking Gold for the 2nd year running. The 12U Girls Basketball team also demonstrated true resilience, rebounding from a 30 point defeat against UWC Dover to beat the same team in the Gold Medal final by two points.Read the whole article >
