Lynn Kachmarik, former professional athlete and coach for the United States National Water Polo and Swim teams, joined AIS to host transformative leadership workshops as part of the school's Inventors and Mentors program.
Lynn led a workshop for AIS Upper Elementary and Secondary students on building character through sport. Coaching for Character is one of three core pillars of sport education at AIS, and involves teaching students to participate with accountability, ownership, integrity and honour.
In a separate seminar with parents, Lynn discussed the psychology of athletes and how parents can nurture holistic growth in their children through sports.
In line with the AIS values of Respect, Opportunity and Achievement, the Inventors and Mentors program invites internationally renowned thought leaders and experts to inspire the AIS community to achieve excellence. Find out more about the Inventors and Mentors program here.
