Secondary School

Welcome to AISS where active learning takes place in a caring, friendly community environment designed to support each student during their adolescent years and maximise each persons learning potential.

At AISS we are accredited by the Board of Studies, New South Wales, Australia. Secondary students work towards their School Certificate in Year 10 and Higher School Certificate in Year 12. We are proud of our students' achievements as they continue to gain excellent academic results. Our programs support differing learning styles and needs and we are well resourced to promote learning in all areas of the curriculum.

Our highly trained staff offer students the opportunity to study an Australian curriculum in an Asian environment. Camps and fieldwork allow students to work in the South East Asian region and each year students travel to Malaysia, Thailand and Cambodia to study a variety of issues and achieve academic, social and cultural outcomes. In addition, the cocurricular activities are rich and varied. Sport, cultural opportunities and adventure activities balance the academic studies. Students are encouraged to participate in awards such as NYAA , an internationally recognised National Youth Achievement Award equivalent to the Duke of Edinburgh scheme.

We provide a strong pastoral care program and support all students as they make the transition to secondary education, often in a new country. Our welfare team works with students in small group activities and we promote a school ethos where respect, tolerance and cooperation are fundamental values .

I hope you are able to join us and experience life and learning at AISS.
