Mr Liam King (Deputy Principal)

Liam was appointed the Deputy Principal of AISS in July 2007. This new role involves working across the whole school from Pre-school to Year 12 with specific responsibility to lead the transitional phase to the new sub school model.

He is currently studying a Doctor of Education at Melbourne University where he is examining the role of educational leadership and strategic planning in relation to creating a learning organisation.

In 2002 he completed his Master of Education at Melbourne University with a thesis on 'Effective Integration of Learning Technologies in the Middle Years of Schooling: a case study of an independent K - 12 coeducational college' and previous to this qualifications in Curriculum and Educational Administration.

His professional background is with Catholic and Independent schools in Victoria including positions as Deputy Principal and Director of Learning Technologies from 1988 - 2004. His most recent position was as the Deputy Principal – Curriculum at AISS, where Liam was responsible for the development and implementation of curriculum policy and programs within the whole school with specific responsibility for Secondary.

He works closely with staff to ensure smooth working relationships between sectors.

Liam lives in Singapore with his wife and two children.
