Celebrating IB Exam Results for Our Class of 2018

We congratulate our AIS Class of 2018 on their fantastic results, with our Year 12 students achieving a median ATAR of 83.1.
The Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) is a number between 0.00 and 99.95 that indicates a student's position relative to all the students in their age group.
- 5% of AIS students achieved an ATAR of 99 or above.
- 15% AIS students achieved an ATAR of 95+
- 21% AIS students achieved an ATAR of 90+
- 42% AIS students achieved an ATAR of 80+
We are excited to report our IB cohort achieved a 100% pass rate for the third year running (the world average is 78.4%).
Our AIS IB average is 35.28 (the world average was 29.78), and 19.5% of our IB students achieved a 40+ (ATAR of 98.25+),the world average is 15%.
Our special congratulations are extended to our top achieving student Alicia Wong who received the perfect IB point score of 45 and the highest possible ATAR of 99.95.
In the HSC we are proud to announce that AIS is listed nine times on the HSC Distinguished Achievers list (students who achieved a result in the highest band possible).
HSC student Manami Yaku was placed First in Course for Japanese in Context and Sam Strecker has been selected for exhibition at ARTEXPRESS 2019.
We are extremely proud of the Class of 2018, we know there are incredible personal stories behind all these results, and the achievements are down to our hardworking students, caring teachers and support of family and friends.
