Major Renovations Done in the Coral Dizon Theatre

Almost six months ago, we embarked on one of the most challenging and ambitious renovations at the school. This was the complete overhaul and refit of the Coral Dixon theatre.
The theatre was an original feature of our school completed in 2002, when the school first opened on this campus. The theatre is one of the most well-used spaces a AIS as it hosts three drama productions each year, as well as being used for countless student, staff and parent events.
Renovations will include new seating, carpets, lighting, audio visual equipment, air-conditioning, soundproofing and increased staging.
To close such a vital venue was not a decision that was taken lightly; however, the teaching teams have been consulted at every step and it is with their support that the decision was taken to go ahead with these renovations.
It is no small feat to complete works of this nature and living through renovations can be challenging. Every measure has been taken to lessen the impact on teaching and learning.
The Senior Library has also undertaken a makeover in recent months. Following are some images of this bright new space for the Senior Students.
