This week students have spent time commemorating and reflecting on ANZAC Day.
We were honoured to welcome back Lieutenant Colonel Michael Doyle (Australian Defence Force) and Commander Brendan Oakley (New Zealand Defence Force) to speak to Upper Elementary and Secondary students. They spoke about what ANZAC Day means to them personally, highlighting the great sacrifices that are still being made in order for us to live in freedom and peace. We are grateful to them both for sharing their time and experiences with us.
Today, our School Captains attended the official ANZAC Day Dawn Service at Kranji War Memorial Cemetery and laid a wreath on behalf of the School. Selected students from our school choirs also performed In Flanders Field, as well as the National Anthems of Australia and New Zealand.
We are very proud as a school, to continue what is surely our oldest tradition of involvement in this most poignant and moving event.
