Australian International School students received a standing ovation after showcasing their musical talents for an audience of over 500 viewers at the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music Concert Hall for the AIS 2015 Music Ensemble.

The night brought together singers and instrumentalists from the AIS Upper Elementary and Secondary School, who performed a range of music styles, including vocal performances from four choirs, a jazz number from the Dixieland band, performances by the soul band, piano concerto, brass ensemble, percussion ensemble, chamber ensemble and strings quartet.

At AIS, music is seen as vital to a student’s education. Students have the opportunity to participate in 16 ensembles and the chance to work closely with inspiring music educators, including internationally renowned conductor Richard Gill OAM and Australian jazz musician James Morrison.

The evening is one of the main highlights of the Semester, with students preparing for months ahead of performance night. Congratulations to all who performed for a truly memorable evening and thank you to those of you who came out to support our students.
