South East Asia Student Activities Committee (SEASAC)

Published by Jessica Tay

We are incredibly excited to announce that AIS has been accepted in the South East Asia Student Activities Committee (SEASAC). SEASAC is an association of international schools in and around Southeast Asia that was established in 1995 with the purpose of promoting school activities that provide opportunities for healthy competition, pursuit of excellence, social and cultural interaction and the development of friendships within the region.

After a rigorous applications process where Head of Sport, Justin Teves, and Head of School, Simon Leslie, travelled to Bali to present to the committee, we were given word that we are now officially part of the Organisation.

"We believe that AIS will make a valuable contribution to the SEASAC family of schools through our ability to host events, to participate in a broad range of activities and sports and to travel and be an integral member of the SESAC community. SEASAC will provide a platform for our students to learn and to grow as responsible members of our community and we are so excited for our sports students to be able to compete and be around like-minded schools and students and enjoy greater exposure to competition and sport education. We are so incredibly proud of our AIS sports students and athletes and are looking forward to them having even more opportunities to develop their sportsmanship and competitive skills.” Justin Teves

Australian International School, Singapore

The Australian International School is the only southern-hemisphere international school in Singapore that offers an Australian curriculum-based global education for students from the age of 2 months to 18 years.

This truly international education begins with the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Program (IB PYP) from Preschool to Year 5, Australian Curriculum for Years 6 to 8, Cambridge IGCSE in Years 9 and 10, and the Higher School Certificate (HSC) or International Baccalaureate Diploma Program (IB DP) for Years 11 and 12.

Australian International School has a vision to be known internationally as an institution which represents educational excellence in all aspects of its operation. Our school philosophy commits us fully to the notion of a holistic, rounded education, which cherishes the arts and sports as well as academics as essential dimensions of each student’s education. We are equally committed to teaching our students to have a moral commitment to making our world a better place as reflective, caring, knowledgeable and principled people. At AIS, each child is special, each is important.
