Which Co-Curricular Activity (CCA) gives our students the chance to build water pipes, master their baking skills and test their ability to trek at high altitude?

The Schools 4 Schools CCA is one of AIS’ most exciting programs. Started in 2006, by an AIS teaching staff member, the annual project helps to support four schools in Nepal and India and their surrounding communities.

Year 11 and 12 participants spend a year fundraising before they travel to either India or Nepal to visit the project schools.

The 2018 trip was to Nepal. Eighteen of our Year 12 students spent 11 days seeing firsthand the positive impact of their fundraising on the project school communities. They not only donated uniforms and funds for resources, but their muscle-power - clearing rocks from the site of a new building.

Their muscles were then set a new challenge; a 4 day trek through the rugged Nepalese terrain.

Be inspired by their journey on this video, created by one of our Year 12 participants – Darius.
