A winning performance at SEASAC
Our Core values of Opportunity, Achievement and Respect were all on show last weekend at the SEASAC Gymnastics and Softball tournament in Bangkok. 25 Students and 4 Staff members travelled to Thailand and the Gymnastics team Level 7 girls won Bronze while the Softball team were very proud to win the Sportsmanship Award.
Two of our students, Annalise and Georgie, were there and have shared their experiences with us -
"Even though it was our first ever girls softball team, the supportive atmosphere of the SEASAC participants allowed us to grow as players and closer as a team. I loved meeting new people and talking to people I might not have met otherwise. SEASAC softball was an extraordinary opportunity and I hope other students will be able to share this amazing experience." Annalise Strecker, Year 10
"We competed in both team and individual competitions on bars, floor, vault and beam. In the teams event we finished 3rd overall and it felt great. We took out some individual medals in vault, beam and bars and Bailey finished 4th overall in Level 7 in the Individual competition. As Gymnasts we train up to 20 hours a week and we sacrifice the opportunity to participate in so many others sports. Mr Teves made SEASAC Gymnastics possible and we are all so proud and thrilled to have had the opportunity to represent AIS in the sport we love - Gymnastics." Georgie Mandziy, Year 8
