The 2017 graduating cohort at the Australian International School has achieved outstanding results across the School’s 3 academic pathways. The New South Wales Higher School Certificate (HSC), International Baccalaureate Diploma Program (IBDP) and Vocational Education and Training (VET). These are just some of the highlights of this year’s results:
Amelia graduates with an IB score of 45 out of 45, the highest possible score achievable in the IB. This gives her an ATAR score in the top 0.05% of all students in Australia. She has had a number of offers from distinguished universities worldwide and is currently deciding between Oxford University in the UK and Stanford University in the US – two of the most influential players in higher education.
Srihari graduates with an IB score of 39 and an ATAR of 97.6. He is an academic captain and all-round achiever in Sports, Music and the Arts. He has applied to a number of high profile universities in the UK, including London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), Kings College London, Durham University, University of Nottingham and University of Sussex. He hopes to study Law.
Gabriel graduates with an ATAR of 97.35 – the highest of the 2017 HSC cohort. He is in the Top 1% for Legal Studies in Australia and also received 3 Distinguished Achiever awards from NESA. He received several offers from universities in Australia, including the University of Sydney, and has decided to enrol in a Bachelor of Commerce, majoring in Marketing and Public Health: Policy and Promotion at Macquarie University.
Emily achieved the top score in her class for Hospitality. Her cohort was the first ever to be offered the Hospitality program, and she will be using her qualification to take up further study at Macquarie University in Sydney. She will be studying a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Marketing.
