Under one roof

Whether in our young-learners swimming pool, in our multi-purpose hall, our dance studio or our outdoor playgrounds, your child’s learning will take place in an environment that is built entirely with them in mind.

Our complimentary programs are led by specialist teachers, in a combination of dedicated spaces and classrooms across the school. A range of enrichment activities*, from languages, swimming, dance, sports and music are on offer, extending the day until 4.30pm for those children who want to try something new outside the classroom.

Through the course of the school week, your child might:

  • Learn Mandarin through song and dance in flexible classrooms
  • Build their water confidence and learn to swim in our Young Learners pool
  • Explore their musical talents through our Orff Musical Literacy Program
  • Develop their eye-hand coordination and balance in our SmartSteps Gym
  • Build confidence through speech and drama with our LAMDA-trained Drama team
  • Develop their love of reading in our Early Years Inquiry and Library Centre

AIS is one of only two schools in Singapore that offers it's young learners weekly structured physical education through the SMART Steps program. The SMART Steps program is designed to enhance key movement patterns that are essential for body and brain development and is taught by our trained Early Years Physical Education Team. Your child won't realised what impact this program is having on their ability to grip a pencil or follow the words on a page, they'll just having fun with their friends!

The AIS Speech and Drama Program

Run by early childhood drama experts, the AIS / Foust Early Years drama program introduces children to the world of drama, theatre and performing arts. Weekly workshops within the classroom take chldren on a journey through their own imaginations. Your child will explore their own creativity as well as developing confidence and an interest in all things dramatic.

Early Music appreciation

From just 18 months, we capture your child's natural instinct to create music through different forms of expression, including singing, dancing and storytelling. This follows the Orff Music Literacy program, which is followed through the school from Early Years to Secondary School.

Learning to swim is a rite of passage for all children, not least Australians. At AIS, we offer a comprehensive learn-to-swim program that grows into a competitive program as your child's skill level develops. Taught by highly qualified aquatic staff, the program has 11 levels and caters for all. The program currently begins from 4 years of age. We will be providing opportunities for children of all ages in our Young Learners Pool at the new AIS Early Learning Village.
