Participation in an Ensemble is an essential part of a young player’s development. Playing or singing together not only improves musical skills, but also involves the students socially, promotes teamwork and contributes to the development of their emotional intelligence. All students learning instruments at AIS are encouraged to participate in at least one Music Ensemble.
Ensembles ranging from beginner groups to more advanced are available including: Junior Orchestra, Elementary Strings, Secondary Strings, Recorder Group, Brass Ensemble, Concordis, Year 2 Choir, Upper Elementary Choir, AIS Choir, Guitar Ensemble, Woodwind Ensemble and Jazz Ensemble. Other Ensembles are formed according to demand. All Ensembles are directed by our expert music staff.
