Robotics Being Part of AIS' Computer Science Curriculum in the Future

Published by Jessica Tay

Technology is critical for innovation and the Technology Leadership Team at AIS is keen to explore new ways to engage student interest in this field. Robotics is an area that we are currently looking at as a possible addition to the Computer Science curriculum in the future.

SoftBank Telecom Singapore, designers and creators of NAO, a Humanoid Robot recently visited AIS to introduce us to what is possible in computer robotics (see video below).

Not only is it pretty cool, Robotics brings programming and coding to life. We hope to be seeing NAO back at AIS again soon.

Computer Science at AIS is currently offered as part of the IGCSE and HSC and from 2018 will be offered in the IB Curriculum. The technology department also offer a CCA for Years 6-9. Click here for more information.
