AIS Student Contributes Art to Society

Published by Claire Ettinger

AIS student, Dylan Alexander, is in the news today in recognition of his donation of 12 pieces of art to the OCBC-TODAY Children's Fund silent auction.

Juggling his exams and preparation for our own Annual Art Exhibtion, Year 9 student Dylan produced 12 pieces which range from pen drawings to acrylic on cardboard, which will now form part of an exhibtion at the OCBC Banking Hall from 27 October to 14 November.

"I was juggling my exams at the same time," he said. "I enjoyed making these pieces. The process was a way for me to relieve stress. I would rather paint than watch TV. What's even better is that this is for a very good cause."

The pieces will be part of a silent auction, the proceeds from which will be used to helpd children from distressed families in Singapore rebuild their lives.
