We understand that starting school is a big step for children and families alike. Our teachers at Australian International School (AIS) use a structured settling-in process designed to build trust and familiarity at each child’s own pace. Small pod environments, consistent teachers, and close home-school communication all help children feel secure from day one.

School hours run from 8:30am to 3:00pm for full-day children. Half-day sessions are available from 8:30am to 11:45am. Flexible scheduling options, including three-day and part-time arrangements, are available for Pre-Nursery through P3. Contact the Admissions team for details.

Our ratio is 1:5, ensuring every child receives individual attention and care throughout the school day and during Extended Care.

Our Early Years faculty average 12 years of teaching experience and 5 years at AIS. Children also benefit from specialist teachers in PE, Mandarin, Music, and Library skills. Over 70% of our teaching assistants are trained teachers.

Both work well depending on your child’s age, temperament, and readiness. We offer half-day or full-day options for P1 to P3, with P4 full day only. Many families start with fewer days or half days and extend as their child settles in. Our admissions team and teachers are happy to talk through what tends to suit children at different stages.

Yes. A nutritious lunch is served daily by teachers and is included in the fees. Meals are prepared on site by a team of chefs under the guidance of a dedicated dietician, with a separate allergen kitchen for children with dietary requirements.

AIS has a dedicated nursing team on site, including nurses in the Early Learning Village, so children are always in safe, medically supported hands.

Yes. After-school activities include swimming, ballet, soccer, drama, music and movement, and karate, delivered by AIS staff and trusted partners. Free parent-supervised playground time is also available daily.

Extended Care runs from 3:00pm to 6:00pm, Monday to Friday during school terms. Children are cared for by the same qualified Early Years educators they know from the school day, within a 1:5 teacher-to-child ratio. They have full access to ELV facilities and can play, explore, or rest depending on what they need.

Extended Care is available for children in Pre-Nursery 1 to Preschool 4.

Sign-up is managed through Schools Buddy. Contact the Admissions team to register your interest and receive your login once your school contract is signed.

Yes. A free first semester is currently available. The promotion applies during regular school terms only and does not extend to summer programs. Contact Admissions for full details.

AIS offers a Holiday Care program for Early Years families during school breaks, giving children continued access to the Early Learning Village environment with familiar educators. Dates vary each year – contact the Admissions team for the current schedule and availability.
