As you may be aware there has recently been an increase in reported cases of Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19). We would like to reassure you that we are closely monitoring the situation, as well as taking advice from the Ministry of Health (MOH) and Ministry of Education (MOE) on best practice to ensure the health and safety of our community.
As such, we currently have a number of measures in place for all visitors to the school - this includes students, parents and staff, as well as guests to the campus. Please be advised of the following requirements:
ACCESS TO THE CAMPUS
In accordance with AIS' procedures and policies, and our proactive approach to ensuring the health and safety of our community, temperature screening is currently being conducted. In order to facilitate the screening process, access will only be available at certain gates during the day. At each of these entrances AIS staff will undertake temperature screening of all individuals who will be entering our campus. Please allow additional time in case of delays.
Please note that Gate 2 Pedestrian Gate (located on Lorong Chuan near the Peter Bond Secondary Building ) will be closed until further notice.
The table below outlines the gates where you can enter the School:
|7.30am - 4.00pm
Given the escalation of transference of the virus we are requesting travel declarations from all visitors to the school, including both guests and parents. This is in keeping with best practice around this matter.
New visitors to the school will be asked to complete a travel declaration upon entry to the campus.
To support the wellbeing of our community we would ask any members of our community who have visited Mainland China to observe the following Leave of Absence (LOA) guidelines with regard to visiting the campus.
LEAVE OF ABSENCE (LOA)
As advised by the Ministry of Health (MOH), with effect from 31 January 2020 6pm, all individuals who have been to Mainland China within the last 14 days are to be placed on a 14-day leave of absence.
AIS has additionally had this advisory in place for all staff and students from 15 January 2020 with the following requirements:
