Orientation Day

Term 3 Orientation Day Friday 16th July

Welcome to all our new AIS families. We are incredibly excited you have chosen AIS and can’t wait for you to start your journey at Singapore with us.

We invite you to join us for an orientation session for your child between 9am and 11am on Friday 16th July. These online sessions will run in half hour time slots and your Admissions Manager will be able to assist you in the relevant time for your family.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions the school is unable to host onsite orientation for students and families. Instead we host a half hour conversation with the Classroom Teacher or Head of Year where students get important information on Day 1 and have the opportunity to ask questions. For families with more than one child, there will be a meeting time set for each. Your Admissions or Enquiry Manager will send you the links to the Google Meets.

DAY 1 TERM 3Monday, 19 July 2021

IMPORTANT: All new students start at AIS campus at 9.30am

On the first day of Term, new students start their day at 9:30am.  PLEASE do not come earlier as this delayed start ensures a smooth transition for new students. The first day of term can be quite busy and this staggered start time allows us to settle new students into their classroom after the usual morning rush.

Due to COVID-19 we are required to sign you in at the assigned school gate.  You may already have a trace together token or use the Trace together App.  We only permit parents and students on campus.

It is super easy to find where to go when you arrive at the AIS campus.  Taxi companies know our different gates so please advise them which gate you require.  The security staff will be able to point you in the right direction once on campus. Our friendly Admissions Staff will be wearing these navy blue shirts and are easily recognised. We also have clearly labelled welcome signs at the registrations tables on campus inside each gate.

If you have children at different sub-schools, please arrive at the gate that is for your eldest child first. A member of the team will then assist you with directions to the correct area for your younger children.

Parent Pass

The safety of our community is of paramount importance to us. To maintain the security of our campus, we require all Parents and Guardians to wear their Parent Passes when entering and moving around the school.

To receive your Parent Pass on the first day of school (Monday, 19 July 2021), please submit your photo via THIS FORM by Thursday, 8 July 2021.

CLICK HERE TO SUBMIT YOUR PHOTO

If you do not have a Google Account, please submit your photo, setting the file name as your FIRST NAME and LAST NAME (e.g. John_Doe), to ask@ais.com.sg.

Please note that the processing time for Parent Passes is between 1-2 weeks. We will not be able to issue your Pass to you on the first day of school, if you submit your photo after Thursday, 8 July.

The first pass you will be issued is a Temporary Pass. While it serves as valid Photo ID, it will not have smart card functionality and consequently, cannot be used to pay for services on campus. If you have children in the ELV, you will also be unable to tap your Pass to enter the building. You will be able to exchange this Temporary Pass for a fully-functional Parent Pass at a later date. We will keep you updated on this through your registered email address. We apologise for the inconvenience caused as we are currently in the process of upgrading our systems.

If you need further clarification on Parent Passes, please send your enquiry to ask@ais.com.sg.

If your children wish to utilise the bus service, please see details here. You will be required to complete the bus registration and health declaration form and return to your Admissions Manager or aisbus@jtt.com.sg

* Do note that processing and confirmation of your child’s bus registration can take up to 2 weeks, do ensure your child’s bus form is sent to us as soon as you can.

AIS Laptop Program

AIS has a laptop program starting from Year 6 to Year 12. Each Secondary student needs to have a MacBook for use at school. This can be either school supplied, or students can bring their own MacBook (BYOD) that meets the school minimum requirement.

Please click THIS FORM to make the choices whether your child will BYOD or have a school-supplied laptop.

Please note that once you have selected your laptop option for the year you are unable to change this until the following academic year.

Canteen Services (Chartwells)

Canteen services are a critical part of the School’s provision, not least because we are all aware that nutritionally balanced food options for children can encourage them to engage in healthy eating habits as they continue to grow. Our school canteens cater for students in Early Years, Elementary and Secondary according to their age-specific needs and preferences.

The two AIS canteens are managed for the School by Chartwells. Chartwells is a leading provider of food service to schools and universities around the world and has a food philosophy of “Healthy Food, Healthy Kids and a Healthy Planet”.

Its core message of “Eat, Learn & Live” provides a healthy, nutritious and delicious food selection which helps students to develop, learn and perform at their best. The Smart Food Programme takes a “Fresh Food First” approach that encourages nutritionally-balanced food choices that are tailored to meet the Singapore-specific guidelines and the USDA Dietary Guidelines.
