In Years 9 and 10, students at the Australian International School Singapore undertake a dual pathway that combines the Cambridge International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) with selected Australian Curriculum subjects. This globally recognised qualification is known for its academic rigour and flexibility, offering around 25 subject options that allow students to explore their interests and discover where their strengths lie.

AIS is proud to be the only international school in Singapore offering Vocational Education and Training (VET), giving students access to practical, industry-relevant learning alongside academic excellence.

This stage provides the strongest bridge between Lower Secondary and Senior Secondary studies, laying a solid foundation for the Higher School Certificate (HSC), the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP), or IBDP Courses⁺. Students develop essential skills such as independent thinking, problem-solving, and global awareness — all critical for success in senior years and beyond.

AIS welcomes students transferring into Year 10, and offers a modified program to support those learning in English as an additional language. International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE)

Students in Years 6 to 8 at the Australian International School Singapore follow a rigorous, standards-based curriculum that provides the best possible foundation for the Cambridge IGCSE program. Through a broad and balanced subject offering including the arts, sciences, humanities, foreign languages, mathematics, and literacy, students develop the knowledge and confidence to make informed subject selections for their senior years.

As an IB World School in Singapore, AIS ensures students build essential 21st-century skills such as critical thinking, communication, research, and self-management. These skills prepare students to transition seamlessly into the academic demands of the IGCSE and beyond.
