The Australian International School Singapore’s online admissions process is designed with your convenience in mind.

We enrol students from 50+ countries throughout the year, and our unique calendar fosters smooth transitions in Singapore and internationally. At AIS, we offer flexible entry dates; however, please note that the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE), Higher School Certificate (HSC), and International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) options have entry date limitations.

Application Steps

Complete the Australian International School Singapore’s easy-to-use online application in just 10 to 15 minutes. You can save your application at any time and return to complete it later by clicking the ‘Save’ button on our online platform. For further guidance, please see our step-by-step guide.

Step 1: Online Application

First Time Users

If you are a first-time user, you need to create an account to access our online application form. This one-time registration takes only a minute. Once you have done this, you can log in and submit your application for one child or multiple.

For Returning Users

To continue an existing admissions process, please log in to your account to submit an application and upload documents. Applications are considered in chronological order of receipt, and each applicant is reviewed individually and independently.

Step 2: Submit Documents & Pay Application Fee

All required forms and documents can be submitted online. The non-refundable Application Fee must be paid to be considered for admission.  If you cannot locate some documents that are required during the application, please upload a temporary placeholder to complete the application.

Step 3: Assessment and/or Interview

Some applicants will be invited to an English language proficiency assessment and/or an admissions meeting during the review process. After an application is received, the admissions team will advise you of the next steps.

Step 4: Application Review

The AIS Review Team reviews the application to ensure students can fully access and thrive in our programs. Applications are reviewed only after all required documents are submitted. Any delays in submitting documents will also delay the review process.

Step 5: Admissions Review Complete

An admissions decision will be sent within 7 days of a completed application review. If an offer is made, you will be asked to confirm your acceptance of the place by signing and submitting the online student contract within 7 days and enrolment fee payment. If there are any challenges, please get in touch with your admissions manager.

Wait List

If a place is unavailable when you wish to join, your child may receive a waitlist offer. If you want your child to be placed on the waiting list, the Admissions Team will contact you should a space become available.

A conditional enrollment offer may be extended if a teacher reference is unavailable at the time of application. Teacher reference or approval to start must be granted before commencing the first day of school.

Enrollment Requirements

  • Vaccination Requirements (For Age 12 Years And Below)Health Promotion Board Immunisation Registration (applicable to all applicants 12 years and under, for all visa types) To ensure no delay to the school start date, please submit this as soon as an offer is made. Click here to learn more >Dependent Visa HoldersIf a student enrols as a dependent pass holder, the dependent pass must be approved before the student can attend classes.Singapore Nationality/Singapore Passport HoldersApproval is required from the Ministry of Education (MOE) before a Singaporean applicant (6 years old and above) is allowed to attend classes at AIS. The AIS applications team will send the application for approval by the MOE once an offer of admission is extended.Student PassThe following students will require a Student Pass:
    • Students whose parents are Permanent Residents of Singapore but the student is not
    • Students who are not eligible for a Dependent’s Pass (for example, stepchildren)
    • Where neither parent has an Employment Pass

      If your child requires a Student Pass to study at AIS, the school will initiate the registration process with the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA) after offering your child a place. However, the final approval rests with the ICA.

      Important to Note:
    • A place at AIS is not guaranteed until the ICA issues the Student Pass.
    • Students can only begin classes once ICA issues the Student Pass.
    • Students must meet the minimum 90% monthly attendance requirements stipulated by the ICA.

Age Guidelines

The year group placement of a student is decided in consultation with each family and to best suit each child. Each year group at school has a range of age recommendations depending on the background of the student applying. Please contact our Admissions to get the best advice moving forward from our Academic Team.

Students With Learning Needs

AIS offers a Learning Support Program for students who require support for learning differences. The needs of eligible students will be assessed on an individual basis.

What Do The Fees Include? Are Housekeeping Services Provided?

The school offers additional education support in English for eligible students for whom English is not their primary language. The school will determine on a case-by-case basis if English as an Additional Langugae (EAL) support is required as a condition of continued enrolment. This EAL Program Fee is payable by term in addition to the Tuition Fee. Specialist teachers are arranged to provide this service and as such, EAL Program Fee is non-refundable should the student subsequently withdraw from the program.

Getting ready for Day 1

You will receive a comprehensive Welcome Pack to ensure a smooth transition to school life at AIS. Before the first day of school, you and your child will attend an Orientation Day in a group or a 1:1 enrolment meeting during the term. Please note that all students must hold a valid visa before attending school.
