Steven combines the strong lessons of leadership, resilience, and teamwork from his foundation in sport with his educational philosophy, creating collaborative, high-performing school communities where every child can thrive.
Steve joined AIS in Singapore after leading Repton Abu Dhabi as Principal, where he most recently guided the school to outstanding academic success. Under his leadership, Repton achieved 85% A–B GCSE results*, with nearly half of students earning A* grades, and celebrated global recognition through Pearson Outstanding Learner Awards, including students achieving the Highest Mark in the World in IGCSE History and Geography.
A global traveller with visits to over 60 countries, Steven brings a worldly perspective to school leadership.
As a father of two boys, he deeply understands the importance of raising ethical, compassionate, and capable young people, which fuels his passion for mentoring and character development.
Outside of his professional life, Steven enjoys sports, coaching, and exploring different cultures, all of which enrich his role in fostering community and teamwork at AIS.
