Co-curricular Activities at AIS

Co-curricular activities (CCAs) are an important part of the international school education at the Australian International School. Our students are encouraged to participate in the many varied opportunities that surround them both inside and outside the classroom. Through a program of sporting, social and cultural activities, the intellectual, creative and personal talents of each individual are stimulated and nurtured.

The school-run CCA program starts in Preparatory (Prep) as a lunchtime only program and continues from Year 3 to Year 12 as a lunchtime and after school program. We also have a number of External CCA Partners who offer activities on campus after school, and these are available from Preschool 4 and above. These activities can include karate, ballet, robotics, Hip Hop, Drama and Musical Theatre.

The CCA activities on offer at AIS allow students to develop their creative, musical and sporting capacities within a group of students with similar interests. The common bonds created through participation in these groups, help form the basis of a rich school culture and a community that celebrates diversity and excellence. We encourage all our students to reap the benefits of co-curricular activities in school.
