2023 Technology & VET Showcase
After a pause of three years, we are delighted to bring back the annual Technology & VET Showcase. After school on 1 Nov from 5:30 pm – 7:00 pm, students, teachers, and parents gathered to experience the brilliant projects our students have been working on. It was amazing to witness the success of last night’s 2023 Technology & VET Showcase at the Australian International School. This event was a testament to the incredible talent and dedication of our students, as well as the value of Vocational Education and Training (VET) in our Secondary curriculum.
The AIS Approach to Technology and VET
At AIS, we pride ourselves on offering uniquely blended Technology and Vocational Education and Training (VET) curricula. Our versatile Technology program covers a wide range of educational pathways, including the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE), Higher School Certificate (HSC), and International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IB DP), with an array of diversified courses on offer such as Design Technology, Industrial Technology, Food Technology, Computer Science, and Software Design and Development. Our VET program is equally impressive, offering Certificate I and II courses in Construction and Hospitality.

The heart of the 2023 Technology & VET Showcase was undoubtedly the incredible projects and creations of our talented students. Visitors had the opportunity to explore their innovative designs, prototypes, and technological innovations. The sheer creativity and skill on display were truly impressive.
Faculty Expertise
Interacting with our dedicated staff was another highlight of the evening. It provided attendees with valuable insights into our diverse curricula, and they had the chance to learn more about the exciting opportunities AIS offers in the realm of Technology and VET education. Our faculty members’ passion for teaching and guiding students shone through, making the event all the more engaging.
Hospitality Delights
Our highly competent Hospitality and Food Technology students played a significant role in enhancing the event experience. They served light snacks and non-alcoholic beverages throughout the evening. Attendees savoured delicious treats crafted by our budding culinary experts. It was a testament to the culinary skills and professionalism of our students in the VET program.
A Celebration of Excellence
The 2023 Technology & VET Showcase was more than just an event; it was a celebration of innovation, creativity, and excellence within our school community. It brought together students, parents, and staff in a shared appreciation for the achievements in Technology and VET education at AIS.
